Putting in A Solar Bird Bath

A solar bird bath will attract more birds to your yard. Varying species will visit your garden when you install a bird bath and you will begin seeing more birds. A bird bath will attract just about every species of bird, while a bird feeder only attracts the type of bird that eats the food provided.

A shallow bird bath with a maximum depth of three inches is the best choice. Measure the water depth before purchasing a commercially-made bird bath. Stones placed in the bottom of your bird bath can help make it shallower if you find it’s too deep.

If you want even more birds in your garden try to add a fountain to your bird bath. Birds flock towards the sound of falling or dripping water.

Giving birds a bird bath with a non-slip coating on the bottom will help them use your bird bath safely.

Water changes are important in your solar bird bath and should be done frequently, or even daily during hot weather.

Putting a bird bath on a stand or some kind or having it suspended from a tree could go a long way to make the birds feel safe from predators and actually use the bird bath.

If you’re an ardent bird watcher, it won’t just be for the bird’s comfort that you install a bird bath in your garden, you’ll also be doing it for your own pleasure. With that end in mind, you should ensure that you place the bird bath somewhere that allows you to view it from a place of comfort through your window.

Your backyard birds will love you for it!
